1. WHO WE ARE

This website is operated by Knitten ("we", "us", "our"), a business based
in the United Kingdom.

By using this website or placing an order, you agree to these Terms.
Please read them before you order. Nothing in these Terms affects your
statutory rights as a consumer.

2. ELIGIBILITY

You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a legally binding
contract to place an order. By ordering, you confirm that you are.

3. HOW A CONTRACT IS FORMED
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Placing an order is an offer to buy. Our order confirmation email is an
acknowledgement, not an acceptance. A contract is formed only when we
email you to confirm the order has been dispatched.
We may decline or cancel an order before dispatch if:
- the item is out of stock or unavailable;
- we identify a pricing or description error;
- we cannot obtain authorisation for your payment;
- we suspect fraudulent or abusive use of the site;
- we are unable to deliver to your address.
If we cancel after taking payment, we will refund you in full within 14
days. We will not be liable to you beyond that refund.

4. PRICING AND PAYMENT

All prices are shown in pounds sterling and include UK VAT where
applicable. Standard UK delivery is free; any other charges are shown at
checkout before you pay.
We take reasonable care to price items correctly. If we discover an error
in the price of an item you have ordered, we will contact you before
dispatch and give you the option to proceed at the correct price or cancel
for a full refund. Where a pricing error is obvious and could reasonably
have been recognised as such, we are not obliged to supply at the
incorrect price.
Payment is taken at the time you place your order. We accept the payment
methods shown at checkout.

5. PRODUCT DESCRIPTIONS AND IMAGES

Our hats are crocheted by hand. Small variations in stitch, size, shade
and finish between individual items are a feature of handmade goods and
are not defects.
We take care to display colours accurately, but screens and devices render
colour differently and we cannot guarantee an exact match.
Sizes given are approximate. If you're unsure whether a size will suit
your cat, email knittenart@gmail.com before ordering.

6. PRODUCT SAFETY AND SENSIBLE USE

Our hats are a novelty accessory for short, supervised wear and
photographs. They are not safety equipment or protective clothing.
Please:
- never leave an animal unattended while wearing one;
- remove it immediately if the animal seems distressed;
- never leave it on an animal for extended periods, during sleep, or
outdoors unsupervised;
- keep it away from animals who chew or swallow fabric;
- check that any cords are loose and not tight around the neck.
Not suitable for children under 3 years - small parts.

7. DELIVERY, CANCELLATION AND REFUNDS

Delivery times, tracking and customs are covered in our Shipping Policy.
Your cancellation and refund rights are covered in our Refund and Returns
Policy. Both form part of these Terms.

8. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

All content on this site - text, photographs, video, graphics, logos and
design - is owned by us or licensed to us and is protected by copyright
and trade mark law.
You may view and print content for your own personal, non-commercial use.
You may not copy, reproduce, republish, sell or distribute any part of it
without our written permission.

9. ACCEPTABLE USE

You agree not to:
- use the site for any unlawful or fraudulent purpose;
- attempt to gain unauthorised access to the site or its systems;
- introduce malware, or attempt to disrupt or overload the site;
- scrape, harvest or systematically extract content or data;
- place orders you do not intend to pay for, or use another person's
payment details without authority.
We may suspend or refuse service to anyone who breaches this section.

10. CUSTOMER CONTENT

If you send us photographs, reviews or other content, you confirm it is
yours to share and does not infringe anyone else's rights. You grant us a
non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use it on our website and social
media to promote our products. You can withdraw that permission at any
time by emailing knittenart@gmail.com, and we will stop using it going
forward.

We handle your personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy and UK
GDPR. Please read it.

12. THIRD-PARTY LINKS AND SERVICES

Our site may link to third-party websites and uses third-party services
for payments, hosting and delivery. We are not responsible for the content
or policies of third-party sites. Your use of those services is governed
by their own terms.

13. OUR LIABILITY

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes our liability for:
- death or personal injury caused by our negligence;
- fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation;
- defective products under the Consumer Protection Act 1987;
- any matter which it would be unlawful for us to limit or exclude,
including your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
Subject to that, we are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is
a foreseeable result of our breaking these Terms or failing to use
reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for loss or damage that
is not foreseeable, or for loss arising from your use of an item in a way
we have advised against in section 6.
We supply our products for domestic and private use. We are not liable for
loss of profit, loss of business, business interruption or loss of
business opportunity.

14. EVENTS OUTSIDE OUR CONTROL

We are not liable for delay or failure to perform caused by events outside
our reasonable control, including postal or carrier disruption, customs
delays, extreme weather, industrial action, or failures of public or
private telecommunications networks. If such an event occurs we will
contact you and extend delivery times accordingly. If the delay is
substantial you may cancel and receive a full refund.

15. CHANGES TO THESE TERMS

We may update these Terms from time to time. The version in force when you
place your order is the version that applies to that order.

16. GENERAL

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unlawful or unenforceable,
the remaining provisions continue in force.
A delay in enforcing these Terms is not a waiver of our rights.
This contract is between you and us. No other person has any right to
enforce it.

17. GOVERNING LAW AND DISPUTES

These Terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and disputes may
be brought in the courts of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or
Northern Ireland, you may also bring proceedings in your own country's
courts.

advice from Citizens Advice consumer service on 0808 223 1133.
